The Webasto Bypass Box is designed to assist technicians in manually operating the Webasto motor for various diagnostic and maintenance tasks, including purging air from the fuel system, testing fuel pressure, and verifying burner component operation. Follow the steps below to utilize the features of the Bypass Box effectively:

Features and Instructions

1. Fuel System Air Purge:

   • Use the bypass box to manually operate the Webasto motor.
   • This allows air to be purged from the fuel system after replacing the fuel filter, ensuring proper fuel delivery to the Webasto head.

2. Fuel Pressure Testing (if equipped):

   • Connect a fuel pressure gauge (e.g., WPE-600-190) to monitor the fuel pressure.
   • Use the Fuel Valve button to operate the valve and verify the fuel pressure readings.

3. Coil/Spark Testing:

   • The bypass box provides a feature to test the ignition coil and spark functionality.
   • Follow your specific system requirements for spark testing.

4. Test Running the Installed Head:

   • Step 1: Turn on the motor using the bypass box.
   • Step 2: Hold the Ign button to initiate ignition.
   • Step 3: Press the Fuel button to activate the fuel system.
   • Step 4: Verify burner operation when the burner ignites.
   • Step 5: Press and hold the Fuel Valve button to confirm proper operation of the burner components.

Ensure all connections are secure and follow safety precautions when operating the bypass box. Always refer to the Webasto system manual for additional guidance and troubleshooting.
